There was a time when a certain Mahendra Singh Dhoni from Ranchi made his long-hair look a fad especially after the dashing wicketkeeper-batsman bludgeoned a 123-ball 148 against Pakistan in an ODI at Visakhapatnam on a sultry April afternoon in 2005.
महेंद्र सिंह धोनी ने जब टीम इंडिया के लिए डेब्यू किया था तब उनकी बल्लेबाजी से ज्यादा उनके लंबे बालों की काफी चर्चा होती थी। यही नहीं, जब धोनी 2005-06 में टीम इंडिया के साथ पाकिस्तान दौरे पर गए थे तब पाकिस्तान के तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति परवेज मुशर्रफ ने भी धोनी के लंबे बालों की काफी तारीफ की थी। 2007 में भारत को पहला T20 वर्ल्ड कप जिताने के समय भी धोनी के लंबे बालों ने काफी सुर्खियां बटोरी थी।
